Sandisk reported 3Q adjusted LPS of $0.59 compared to a LPS of ($0.27) expected and EPS
of $0.54 a year ago, on sales of $821m vs a consensus of $780m and $1.04bln for the
previous corresponding period.

American Express posted 3Q adjusted EPS of $0.74 compared to a consensus of $0.59 and
$0.94 a year ago. The Co commented: "We saw clear signs earlier this year of a weakening
environment and the recent volatility in the financial markets has reinforced our view that
consumer and business sentiment is likely to deteriorate further, translating into weaker
economies around the globe well into 2009."

Texas Instruments delivered 3Q EPS of $0.43 compared to $0.44 expected and $0.52 a year
ago, on sales of $3.39 vs a consensus of $3.4bln and $3.6bln for the prior corresponding
period. The Co forecasts 4Q revenues between $2.83bln and $3.07bln compared to $3.36bln
for analysts and EPS ex-items between $0.26 and $0.32 ($0.43). The Co was downgraded from
"buy" to "hold" at Deutsche Bank.

Du Pont De Nemours delivered 3Q adjusted EPS of $0.56 vs $0.52 expected and $0.59 a year
ago on sales up 9% to $7.3bln ($7.2bln expected). The Co lowered its FY08 adjusted EPS
guidance from a range of $3.45-$3.55 to $3.25-$3.30 ($3.47 consensus).

Fifth Third Bancorp announced a 3Q LPS of ($0.14).

Nabors Industries unveiled 3Q EPS of $0.73 vs $0.75 expected and $0.78 a year ago.

Equifax reported 3Q non GAAP EPS of $0.63, up 9% YoY ($0.62 expected). The Co sees 4Q
non GAAP EPS between $0.59 and $0.63 ($0.61 consensus).

Oracle increased its share repurchase program by $8bln to $9.3bln.

Sun Microsystems expects to report 1Q/Sep revenues in the range of $2.95 to $3.05bln vs
$3.219bln in the same period a year ago and a consensus of $3.15bln. The Co should report a
non GAAP LPS of ($0.02) to ($0.12) vs a break even consensus. The Co said: "Sun and its
customers are seeing the impact of a slowing economy."
